SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Carole Jean Kirwan of Ivesdale, who
4passed away on January 7, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan, the daughter of Clarence and
6Beulah Webb Blacker, was born in Monticello on September 15,
71937; she married Hiram Thomas Kirwan in Monticello on
8September 25, 1954; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
10Church in Ivesdale, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women's
11Club, and the Farm Bureau; she also served as an election judge
12for Champaign County; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan cherished spending time with her
14family and took great joy in being a devoted grandmother and
15great-grandmother; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan was preceded in death by her
17parents; her son, Thomas E. Kirwan Jr.; her brother, Gerald
18Blacker; and her sisters, Marilyn Morrow, Norma K. Davis, and
19Connie Webber; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Carole Kirwan is survived by her husband of 70

1years, Hiram; her daughters, Cynthia Lawson and Pamela Bailey;
2four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; therefore, be
3it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Carole Jean Kirwan and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Carole Kirwan as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
