SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Clyde E. Bunch, who passed away on
4December 3, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was born to Robert and Goldie
6(Painter) Bunch on January 17, 1936; he served in the U.S. Army
7National Guard; he married Ruth A. Squires in Springfield on
8November 8, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch worked as a superintendent with the
10Springfield Department of Public Health, retiring after 30
11years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch served on the Sangamon County Board
13for 46 years and was the longest serving member of that board
14and the longest serving county board member in the State of
15Illinois; he also served on the Comptroller's Mayor Commission
16for six years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was a member of St. Patrick's Church
18and the Eagles Club; he was active with Walk Through the Park
19for St. Martin de Porres for 20 years and Friend-In-Deed for 15
20years; in addition, he was a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish
21Foundation and the Cancer Relay Walk for Life; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Clyde E. Bunch and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Clyde Bunch as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
