| | | Amends the Chicago Municipal Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that the board of the fund has the power to have any records kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or electronically reproduced in accordance with the Local Records Act. Provides that the photographs, microfilm, and digital and electronic reproductions shall be deemed original records and documents for all purposes, including introduction in evidence before all courts and administrative agencies. Effective immediately. |

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 8-207.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (40 ILCS 5/8-207.1 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 8-207.1. To reproduce records. To have any records |
| 8 | | kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or |
| 9 | | electronically reproduced in accordance with the Local Records |
| 10 | | Act. The photographs, microfilm, and digital and electronic |
| 11 | | reproductions shall be deemed original records and documents |
| 12 | | for all purposes, including introduction in evidence before |
| 13 | | all courts and administrative agencies.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law. |
