SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
20 ILCS 2105/2105-410 new

    Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law. Provides that when a licensee applies to renew a license, the Division of Professional Regulation of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall deem the licensee's renewal fee to have been paid if the licensee can provide proof that the licensee's total annual income for the preceding calendar year was less than $50,000. Provides that renewal forms adopted by the Division shall include language informing licensees that the renewal fee shall be deemed paid if a licensee can prove that the licensee made less than $50,000 in total annual income in the preceding calendar year. Provides that a W-2 form, or similar tax document, stating that a licensee made less than $50,000 in total annual income in the preceding year shall be sufficient evidence that the licensee made less than $50,000 in total annual income in the preceding calendar year.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law
5of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
6adding Section 2105-410 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 2105/2105-410 new)
8    Sec. 2105-410. Renewal fee waiver.
9    (a) When a licensee applies to renew a license, the
10Department shall deem the licensee's renewal fee to have been
11paid if the licensee can provide proof that the licensee's
12total annual income for the preceding calendar year was less
13than $50,000.
14    (b) Renewal forms adopted by the Department shall include
15language informing licensees that the renewal fee shall be
16deemed paid if a licensee can prove that the licensee made less
17than $50,000 in total annual income in the preceding calendar
18year.
19    (c) A W-2 form, or similar tax document, stating that a
20licensee made less than $50,000 in total annual income in the
21preceding year shall be sufficient evidence that the licensee
22made less than $50,000 in total annual income in the preced ing
23calendar year.
