| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Child Vision and Hearing Test Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 4.5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (410 ILCS 205/4.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 4.5. Color discrimination tests mandatory. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, |
| 9 | | color discrimination tests shall be performed in all vision |
| 10 | | screening services under this Act. The Department of Public |
| 11 | | Health shall adopt rules implementing this Section before |
| 12 | | January 1, 2027. |
