Provides that, beginning July 1, 2026, the rules adopted under the Act shall cause the Agency to establish one rebate application cycle for each State fiscal year, shall cause each rebate application cycle to have a duration of one State fiscal year, and shall cause the Agency to accept rebate applications and issue rebates under the Act throughout each rebate application cycle. |

1 | | AN ACT concerning safety. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Electric Vehicle Rebate Act is amended by |
5 | | changing Section 15 as follows: |
6 | | (415 ILCS 120/15) |
7 | | Sec. 15. Rulemaking. The Agency shall adopt promulgate |
8 | | rules as necessary and dedicate sufficient resources to |
9 | | implement Section 27 of this Act. Such rules shall be |
10 | | consistent with applicable provisions of the Clean Air Act and |
11 | | any regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. The Secretary of |
12 | | State may adopt promulgate rules to implement Section 35 of |
13 | | this Act. Beginning July 1, 2026, the rules adopted under this |
14 | | Section shall cause the Agency to establish one rebate |
15 | | application cycle for each State fiscal year, shall cause each |
16 | | rebate application cycle to have a duration of one State |
17 | | fiscal year, and shall cause the Agency to accept rebate |
18 | | applications and issue rebates under this Act throughout each |
19 | | rebate application cycle. |
