| | | Amends the Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act. Provides that an association or other entity that has, as one of its purposes, promoting, sponsoring, regulating, or in any manner providing for interscholastic athletics or any form of athletic competition among schools and students within the State shall exempt students who are unable to attend the required number of practices to participate in an interscholastic game, match, or other competition due to activities connected to military service from the practice requirement. |

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act |
| 5 | | is amended by adding Section 1.30 as follows:

| 6 | | (105 ILCS 25/1.30 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1.30. Military schedule conflicts. An association or |
| 8 | | other entity that has, as one of its purposes, promoting, |
| 9 | | sponsoring, regulating, or in any manner providing for |
| 10 | | interscholastic athletics or any form of athletic competition |
| 11 | | among schools and students within this State shall exempt |
| 12 | | students who are unable to attend the required number of |
| 13 | | practices to participate in an interscholastic game, match, or |
