SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of former Schaumburg Township Trustee
4Diane Dunham, who passed away on November 30, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Dunham emigrated with her family from
6Poland to the U.S. in 1961; she received a Bachelor of Science
7in Biology from the University of Illinois and an MBA from
8Lewis University; she married George Dunham; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Diane Dunham worked in IT management with
10Exxon/Mobil and Northrop-Grumman; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Diane Dunham was elected to the Schaumburg
12Township Board in 2000, serving as a trustee for two decades;
13during her tenure, she was noted for her astute understanding
14of township finances while helping a variety of people; she
15was previously involved in village election campaigns; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Diane Dunham was a voracious reader who had a
17strong interest in gardening and national politics; she loved
18watching the Hallmark Channel; she was devoted to her
19granddaughter, nieces, and nephews; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Diane Dunham was the wife of George Dunham for 52

1years; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4former Schaumburg Township Trustee Diane Dunham and extend our
5sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
6and loved her; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Diane Dunham as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
