Amends the Department of Veterans' Affairs Act. Provides that the Department shall require each employee of a Veterans Home receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Amends the University of Illinois Hospital Act and the Hospital Licensing Act. Provides that each employee of a hospital who works in the hospital's intensive care unit must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Amends the Nursing Home Care Act. Provides that each employee of a facility must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 2.01d as follows: |
6 | | (20 ILCS 2805/2.01d new) |
7 | | Sec. 2.01d. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine. Notwithstanding |
8 | | any other provision of law, the Department shall require that |
9 | | each employee of a Veterans Home receive a vaccine for |
10 | | COVID-19 if offered. |
11 | | Section 10. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is |
12 | | amended by adding Section 8d as follows: |
13 | | (110 ILCS 330/8d new) |
14 | | Sec. 8d. Employees; COVID-19 vaccine. Notwithstanding any |
15 | | other provision of law, an employee of the University of |
16 | | Illinois Hospital who works in the hospital's intensive care |
17 | | unit must receive a vaccine for COVID-19 if offered. |
18 | | Section 15. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by adding |
