2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert F.
"Bud" Ragalie on June 15, 2018 | ||||||
4 | at the age of 30; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie was born June 10, 1988, the son of | ||||||
6 | Jean Harmon Ragalie-Carr and
Gregg Ragalie; he was named for | ||||||
7 | his grandfather; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie attended Hatch and Lincoln Elementary | ||||||
9 | schools, Roosevelt Middle
School, and was a member of the state | ||||||
10 | champion Little League baseball team of 1998; he was a
fierce | ||||||
11 | competitor; he continued playing baseball into his high school | ||||||
12 | years and was an all conference
selection for St. John's | ||||||
13 | Northwestern Military Academy in his sophomore year; and | ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie graduated with honors from the Coyne | ||||||
15 | Institute of Chicago with
HVAC certification; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie spent many years in Austin, Texas, and | ||||||
17 | loved listening to music,
watching movies, cross-fit training, | ||||||
18 | cooking with his dad, traveling, and supporting the Chicago
| ||||||
19 | White Sox; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie was a casualty of the opioid epidemic |

1 | who fought a valiant fight
against the addiction; he and his | ||||||
2 | family appreciated the good work of the Serenity House
Alcohol & | ||||||
3 | Drug Substance Abuse Treatment Center; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Bud Ragalie was the loving son of Jean Harmon | ||||||
5 | Ragalie-Carr (Jim Carr) and
Gregg Ragalie (Kathleen Polk); | ||||||
6 | brother of Stephen and Joanne; loving grandson of
Anne Harmon; | ||||||
7 | nephew of Glenn (Betty) Ragalie, Diane Ragalie, Joe (Marion) | ||||||
8 | Harmon, Mark
(Denise) Harmon, Gregg (Anita) Harmon, Marion | ||||||
9 | (Jim) Pareti, Monica (Richard) Spurlock,
Paul Harmon, and Dan | ||||||
10 | Harmon; and cousin of Michelle Parilla and many others; he was
| ||||||
11 | predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph E. Harmon, Joan Nolan | ||||||
12 | Ragalie, and Robert (Bud)
Ragalie; therefore, be it

13 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
14 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
15 | Robert F. "Bud" Ragalie and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
16 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
17 | further

18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
19 | presented to the family of Bud Ragalie
as an expression of our | ||||||
20 | deepest sympathy.
