SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Leonard F. Magier of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on June 16, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonard Magier was born in Chicago to John and 
6Stella Wisniewski Magier on August 26, 1928; he served in the 
7U.S. Army and married Vivian Minarsich Holmquist on October 7, 
81994; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Leonard Magier retired from AT&T following many 
10years of service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Leonard Magier enjoyed playing dice and visiting 
12casinos; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Leonard Magier was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his wife, Vivian; and his sister, Adeline; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Leonard Magier is survived by his stepson, Larry 
16Holmquist; his stepgranddaughter, Melisa (Chris) Wagler; his 
17stepgreat-grandson, Samuel Wagler; his sister-in-law, Sheila 
18Rae Goderis; his sister, Lottie Gicuis; and numerous nieces and 
19nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Leonard F. Magier, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Leonard Magier as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
