2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Virgene Zarnstorff of Richmond, who |
4 | | passed away on Mary 9, 2018; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was born in Richmond to Otto |
6 | | and Mae (Pederson) Buchert on July 13, 1924; she graduated from |
7 | | Richmond High School in 1942; she married Frank Zarnstorff in |
8 | | Wilmot, Wisconsin on August 1, 1942; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Richmond, Virgene |
10 | | Zarnstorff and her husband operated the family farm for over 50 |
11 | | years; she also enjoyed her businesses, selling eggs at the |
12 | | farm and, in her early years, Hunter's Boutique, located at |
13 | | Hunter Country Club in Richmond; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was a member of Peace |
15 | | Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmot, Wisconsin and was |
16 | | involved with the Ladies Aid for many years; she was a member |
17 | | and past president of the Richmond Garden Club for many years |
18 | | and a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and Pure Milk |
19 | | Association; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff was preceded in death by her |
21 | | parents; her husband, Frank; her sisters, Beulah and Helen |

2 | | WHEREAS, Virgene Zarnstorff is survived by her daughter, |
3 | | Marjorie (Doug) Stermer; her son, Dennis (Lorraine) |
4 | | Zarnstorff; her grandchildren, David (Stephanie) Otto, Tom |
5 | | (Jennifer) Otto, Timothy Zarnstorff (Peggy), Stacey (Jon) |
6 | | Green, and Matthew (Jamie) Zarnstorff; her |
7 | | great-grandchildren, Taylor, Payton, Jayden, Jackson, Lauren, |
8 | | Macey, Katlyn, and Jordan Otto, and Ryan, Zachery, and Jamison |
9 | | Zarnstorff; her nephews, DeWayne and Harry Buchert Jr., Gordon |
10 | | Pacey, Doug Schaal, and Ken, Jack, and Jeff Zarnstorff; and her |
11 | | nieces, Rose Pacey Kuhlmeier, Pam Pacey Conkey, and Kathy |
12 | | Zarnstorff Miller; and her sister, Mary Lou Pacey; therefore, |

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | Virgene Zarnstorff and extend our sincere condolences to her |
17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
18 | | further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Virgene Zarnstorff as an expression |
21 | | of our deepest sympathy.
