SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Stephen C. "Steve" VanEarwage of Rock 
4Island, who passed away on May 3, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve VanEarwage was born in Moline to Alphonse 
6and Verble (Jones) VanEarwage on January 25, 1942; he married 
7Elizabeth "Betty" Ruff in Rock Island on January 9, 1988; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Steve VanEarwage was a United States Army veteran; 
9he retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Steve VanEarwage was an avid golfer; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Steve VanEarwage was preceded in death by his 
12wife, Betty; his stepdaughter, Amy Drovesky Alexander; his 
13brother, Jerry; and his sisters, Joanne and Joyce; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Steve VanEarwage is survived by his stepson, Jeff 
15Drovesky; his granddaughter, Sophia Alexander; his brothers, 
16James "Bill" (Mary Lou) VanEarwage, Philip (Leona) VanEarwage, 
17and Mike VanEarwage; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ruff and 
18Jeanene (Danny) Daebelliehn; and his many nieces and nephews;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Stephen C. "Steve" VanEarwage and extend our sincere 
4condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
5him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Steve VanEarwage as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
