2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of John J. Herdrich of Woodstock, who passed |
4 | | away on December 8, 2017; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, John Herdrich was born in McHenry County to Emil |
6 | | and Hermina (Schwartz) Herdrich; he married Lucille Poe in St. |
7 | | Mary's Church on August 25, 1951; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, John Herdrich farmed in Bull Valley and McHenry |
9 | | for over 30 years; he retired from Lakeland Construction, where |
10 | | he was a valued employee; after retirement, he accepted a |
11 | | part-time position at R.A. Adams and worked in the shop; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, John Herdrich was active in the McHenry County |
13 | | Farm Bureau and The Catholic Order of Foresters Court 594; he |
14 | | worshiped at St. Mary Catholic Church and then joined St. John |
15 | | the Baptist Church; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, John Herdrich was preceded in death by his |
17 | | parents; his four sisters, Pauline (the late Vince) Adams, |
18 | | Hilda (the late Robert) Mailfold, Marge Granath, and Gertrude; |
19 | | and his brother, Fred (the late Marie); and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, John Herdrich is survived by his wife of 66 years, |

4 | | (Lauren), Edward, Aubry, Morgan (Ryan) Cottrell, Austin, |
5 | | Kristine, Michael, and Joseph; his great-grandchildren, |
6 | | Jayannah, Madeline, Katarina, James, Chyla, Ahnika, Kade, |
7 | | Oliver, and Payton; his sister, Ann (Everett) Hunter; and his |
8 | | brothers-in-laws, John Granath, Morris (Patricia) Poe, and |
9 | | Allen (Shirlee) Hansen; therefore, be it

10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
12 | | John J. Herdrich and extend our sincere condolences to his |
13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
14 | | further

15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
16 | | presented to the family of John Herdrich as an expression of |
17 | | our deepest sympathy.
