SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Patrick L. Tanney of Godfrey, who passed 
4away on November 12, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Patrick Tanney was born in Alton to Delwyn and 
6Mary Lou (Carter) Tanney on January 31, 1959; he married Susan 
7Weishaupt in Alton on July 29, 1983; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Patrick Tanney worked at Phillips 66 as a general 
9foreman contractor; he was a member of Teamsters Local 525; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Patrick Tanney was a member of St. Mary's Church 
11in Alton; he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and 
12"Pop" and  loved spending time with his family and friends; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Patrick Tanney was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his infant twin brother, Michael; and his 
15father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Edwina "Babe" 
16Weishaupt; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Patrick Tanney is survived by his wife, Susan; his  
18daughter, Jessica (Jared) Hamilton; his son, Michael (Jessica) 
19Tanney; his grandchildren, Christopher, Tucker, Zoey, Madelyn, 
20Beau, and one on the way; and his brothers, Jeff Tanney and

1Todd Tanney; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Patrick L. Tanney, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Patrick Tanney as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
