SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Todd J. Middendorf of Carpentersville, 
4who passed away on July 18, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was born in Dubuque, Iowa to 
6Gerald J. and Barbara E. (O'Connor) Middendorf on December 21, 
71970; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf began his career in fire service 
9in 1992 as a volunteer with the Hazel Green Fire Department in 
10Hazel Green, Wisconsin, where he served until 1994; he then 
11became a fulltime firefighter and was employed by the Village 
12of Carpentersville for almost 24 years, rising through the 
13ranks to battalion chief; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was a member of St. Margaret Mary 
15Catholic Church in Algonquin; he was an avid fan of the  Green 
16Bay Packers and NASCAR; he fulfilled his dream for retirement 
17by purchasing a home in Tennessee; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf was preceded in death by his 
19maternal and paternal grandparents; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Todd Middendorf is survived by his wife of 10

1years, Daisy Morales Middendorf;  his  son, Tyler; his parents; 
2his siblings, Troy (Brenda) and Tim (Emily) Middendorf, Tami 
3(Matt) DeMuth, and Tara (Eric) Budde; his mother-in-law and 
4father-in-law, Ramon and Caridad Morales; his sister-in-law, 
5Lourdes Morales; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, 
6including all the area fire service professionals; therefore, 
7be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
10Todd J. Middendorf, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
12further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to  the family of  Todd Middendorf as an expression of 
15our deepest sympathy.
