2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Lloyd T. Lassegard, formerly of Rock | ||||||
4 | Island, who passed away on June 24, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Lloyd Lassegard was born in Mitchell, South Dakota | ||||||
6 | to Thomas and Minnie (Krause) Lassegard on March 5, 1927; he | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Army during World War II and | ||||||
8 | married Barbara Gannon in Mitchell, South Dakota on July 24, | ||||||
9 | 1950; he later married Stella Fontenoy in Rock Island on July | ||||||
10 | 25, 1970; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Lloyd Lassegard worked at Woolworth Five and Dime, | ||||||
12 | TG&Y in Rock Island, and later, People's Drug in the Quad | ||||||
13 | Cities; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Lloyd Lassegard enjoyed pheasant hunting, | ||||||
15 | fishing, traveling, dancing, listening to Frank Sinatra, and | ||||||
16 | spending time with his family; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Lloyd Lassegard was preceded in death by his first | ||||||
18 | wife, Barbara, and his second wife, Stella; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Lloyd Lassegard is survived by his children, Lynda | ||||||
20 | (Dennis) Buckley, Kay (Sonny) Stephens, Pennie Knary, and |

11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
13 | Lloyd T. Lassegard, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
14 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
15 | further

16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
17 | presented to the family of Lloyd Lassegard as an expression of | ||||||
