SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William "Henry" Harvey of Moline, who 
4passed away on May 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Harvey was born in Swifton, Arkansas to  
6Willie and Mary (Holder) Harvey on March 8, 1928;  he served in 
7the United States Army during the Korean War and married Helen 
8Scobey in Fulton on April 4, 1953; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Harvey retired in 1995 after 35 years as a 
10welder with the John Deere Company; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, William Harvey was a member of American Legion 
12Post #246 in Moline; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, William Harvey was preceded in death by his 
14parents; three brothers; four sisters; and his son, William R. 
15Harvey; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, William Harvey is survived by his wife, Helen; his  
17daughters, Ellen Graham, Mary Etzel, and Vicky Armstrong; his 
18son, Robert Harvey; his sisters, Marie Voltz and Carol 
19Schyvincht; his brothers, Kenneth Harvey and David Harvey; 14 
20grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three

1great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4William "Henry" Harvey, and extend our sincere condolences to 
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of William Harvey as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
