SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John E. Adamich, who passed away on May 20, 2017 at the age of 85; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1948; he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1949 to 1952, achieving the rank of sergeant; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich was employed at Commonwealth Edison in the overhead department for 38 years, retiring in 1989; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and various labor organizations throughout Will County and the State; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing, and camping; he loved spending time with his family and friends and coached Little League Baseball for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loretta (Schwab) Adamich; his parents, John and Catherine (Reibel) Adamich; and his stepmother, Cele (Heferle) Adamic; and

WHEREAS, John Adamich is survived by his loving children, Jack (Anna) Adamic, Kathleen (Tony) Costa, and Mary Adamic; his cherished grandchildren, Erin (Scott) Foat, John (Kelly Spitzner) Adamic, and Anthony and Christopher Costa; his dearest great-grandchildren, Dylan and Brooklynn Foat; his brother, Joseph (Joan) Adamic; his stepmother, Joanna Adamic; and numerous uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John E. Adamich, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Adamich as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
