SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates moneys from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for grants to South Shore Hospital for the funding of ordinary and contingent expenses and for capital improvements for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $3,000,000 is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for a grant to South Shore Hospital for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the hospital for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.
Section 10. The sum of $500,000 is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Public Health for a grant to South Shore Hospital for costs associated with capital improvements for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
