Amends the State Parks Act. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources may establish rules for the public to safely and appropriately scatter cremated remains in a State park. Defines "cremated remains."

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Parks Act is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 3b as follows:

| 6 | | (20 ILCS 835/3b new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3b. Scattering of cremated remains.The Department may |
| 8 | | establish rules for the public to safely and appropriately |
| 9 | | scatter cremated remains in a State park. For the purposes of |
| 10 | | this Section, "cremated remains" as the same meaning ascribed |
| 11 | | to it in Section 5 of the Crematory Regulation Act.
