Amends the Prevailing Wage Act. Exempts from the provisions of the Act any public works project with an estimated project cost of $1,000,000 or less. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Prevailing Wage Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 11c as follows:
|
| 6 | | (820 ILCS 130/11c new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 11c. Exemption. Any public works project with an |
| 8 | | estimated project cost of $1,000,000 or less is exempt from the |
| 9 | | provisions of this Act.

| 10 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 11 | | becoming law.
