| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Electric Supplier Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 3.6 as follows:

"Existing line" means any line of an electric |
| 8 | | supplier which on

the effective date of this Act is (a) in |

construction, as determined in |
| 10 | | accordance with accepted engineering
practices. The term |
| 11 | | includes any such line which one electric supplier may
acquire |
| 12 | | from another electric supplier after such effective date. |
