Sec. 15.
Each registrant shall maintain records of each transaction under this
Act, including a description of slaughter livestock, the name and address
of the seller, the purchase price and the date of purchase. These records
shall be retained for a period of 2 years.
Each registrant shall, upon proper request during ordinary business
hours, permit authorized representatives of the Director to enter the place
of business and to examine records pertaining to the business of the
registrant as such and to make copies thereof, and to inspect such property
of persons subject to the provisions of this Act and any regulations
promulgated thereto. Any necessary facilities for such examination of
records and inspection of property shall be extended to authorized
representatives of the Director by the registrant or his agent.
