AN ACT concerning local government.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
represented in the General Assembly:
|
Section 5. The Park Commissioners Land Sale Act is amended |
by adding Section 25 as follows:
|
(70 ILCS 1235/25 new) |
Sec. 25. Sale of Joliet Park District land. |
(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Joliet |
Park District may sell Splash Station if: |
(1) the board of commissioners of the Joliet Park |
District authorizes the sale by a four-fifths vote of the |
commissioners in office at the time of the vote; and |
(2) the sale price equals or exceeds the average of 3 |
independent appraisals commissioned by the Joliet Park |
District. |
(b) This Section is repealed on June 30, 2025.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
becoming law.
