SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

10 ILCS 5/17-13.5

Amends the Election Code. Provides that election authorities shall establish curbside voting (currently, may establish curbside voting) for individuals to cast a ballot during early voting and on election day (currently, during early voting or on election day).

AN ACT concerning elections.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section 17-13.5 as follows:

(10 ILCS 5/17-13.5)

Sec. 17-13.5. Curbside voting. Election authorities shall may establish curbside voting for individuals to cast a ballot during early voting and or on election day. An election authority's curbside voting program shall designate at least 2 election judges from opposite parties per vehicle, and the individual shall have the opportunity to mark the ballot without interference from the election judges.
