SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 22-601

Amends the Illinois Pension Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the preservation of pension rights.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing Section 22-601 as follows:

Sec. 22-601. Preservation of pension rights. The The provisions of "An Act authorizing municipal corporations to preserve civil service and pension rights of their employees inducted into or enlisting in the land or naval forces of the United States, or ordered to active duty in the military or naval forces of the State", approved March 26, 1941, and all subsequent amendments and modifications thereof, to the extent applicable, shall apply to preserve pension rights of employees subject to this Code.
